but u need a Dual Layer burner to use..

or u can upload it on the net in parts and just give her the links lol...its faster in a sense u dont have to spend time burning...but the uploading and downloading might be a problem if connection sucks...

Oh interesting, how do I know if I have a dual layer burner? And I think I would fail at uploading, lol. Upload rates always seem to be sooo slow.

if u look closely on ur burner it would be embedded or somehow written in there what kind of hardware it can burn on. e.g. : DVD +/- R/RW

on a duel layer support burner...there is DL +R/RW writer on it..

note that the 'RW' MIGHT NOT be there. it depends on if you go on and spend on ur burner to pay for the extra "I want to write on the same DVD again" function.

uploading can be done something like torrenting if u have done that before. simply leave it overnight. and quit all ur bandwidth using programs. like games and such. you might have to split your file to smaller sizes and since most upload servers have their own limits if u want to be a free user.

just look at it this way. uploading may take time. but in this time of economic crisis, its the best option provided by the IT world. =) also u can pass the link to more people if needed but the CD/DVD/harddisk can only be passed to one person before having to make another copy again.

for uploading, i would suggest megaupload. but i dont upload alot so there might be better ones around that im totally unaware of.

Hmm the DVD thing on mine says DVD +/- R/W/RAM... And if it only has the + then it's dual layer? >_<

the DVD RAM can hold UP TO 9.4 gb i think.

but i dont know exactly how DVD RAM works in the burning and storage section. so i dont know if u can burn on a 9.4gb or only a normal 4.7gb RAM disk.

but the problem with RAM is that it is not highly compatible. so u shld check with kathy if her drive can support DVD RAM.

and if "DVD +/- R/W/RAM" is written on ur drive. then...no u do not support dual layered DVDs. like i said, it will have DL written there.

so basically, its up to you if u want to experiment with DVD-RAM or get a DVD DL burner.

oh and u MIGHT have to get new software to burn on a RAM disk...and also have to check with kathy if her comp can support the disk...

Chances are she can't read RAM.. and also the names printed on the cover of the drive can be misleading. Mine does not say anything or descriptions of it say nothing about dual-layer, and yet I know it can do it.

IF you're not bored you can take the installation files and make your own rar files
